UV-A lamps [Fluorescent]

In close partnership with Philips, Alcochem Hygiene has developed a range of powerful UV-A lamps, used for insect trap applications: the Long-life UV-A lamps.

Insects are caught on a glue layer, which preserves them over time. The caught insects can be counted and insect species can be analysed, which offers clear advantages in an IPM approach.

10 Reasons to use

  • The unit can be used wall mounted.
  • Glue board discreetly placed behind the lamp.
  • In the heart of the unit is the most powerful UV-A lamp available: Exclusive to ALCOCHEM the Philips Longlife UV-A lamp offers 2 years of effective use. The Philips Longlife lamp is specifically designed to match the fly’s vision spectrum with the lamp’s output, for optimum attracting power.
  • Effective coverage of areas up to 100 m².
  • Easy to service with direct access to lamps and glue board.
  • Meets ISO 9001 / RoHS & the CE standard. Unit is HACCP compliant.
  • 30% improved performance over conventional units due to its unique attraction grid, which reflects the light onto the landing spot thereby stimulating the landing behaviour of flying insects.
  • The Flex-trap 100E is executed with a high frequency ballast, which offers lower operational costs and makes the use of a starter redundant. The electronic ballast also offers a high frequency light pulse which means the insect cannot distinguish the lamp from natural UV-A light so providing greater attraction.
