Working at the cutting-edge front line of LED UV-A lamp technology Alcochem is pleased to bring the next generation of class-leading LED UV-A lamps to the market – The ASTRONUV LED 15R – Retrofit. Standard retrofit UV LED lamps emit light in one specific direction and as a result they can only be used in units, executed with lamp holders that match up with this. 

Lamp holders in insect light traps come with a vertical pin connection, a horizontal pin connection or a 45-degree angled pin connection. 

This lamp uses only 9 Watts to achieve this and can be used retrofit in EFK’s (with max. 2 lamps) executed with a magnetic ballast & starter*1 to replace a fluorescent 15 Watt UV lamp. The ASTRONUV LED 15R – Retrofit lamp can be used in a wide range of EFKs from different brands. 

•1 Not compatible with units that use electronic ballasts

Guarantee period: 2 years on electrical failures (mechanical defaults are excluded from guarantee) 

 

NEW with HOURS RUN INDICATOR

When the Astron 15R LED lamp is placed in the unit and the power of the unit is switched on a green LED indicator, placed in the corner of the LED strip, will flicker for 3 seconds and switch off again. This implies that the hours run counter is now operational and working.

  • After 25.000 hours the green LED indicator on the side of the LED strip will start working, indicating that the ASTRON LED lamp needs replacement in the upcoming period. (warning signal)
  • After 30.000 hours a second green LED indicator on the other side of the LED strip will start working, indicating that the LED functionality can no longer be guaranteed and the ASTRON LED lamp needs immediate replacement.

Note:

  • The hours counter cannot be reset.
  • If the power comes off from the unit, the hours counting will be interrupted. Once the unit is switched back on again it will continue the count, where it left off.

The ASTRONUV LED 15R – Retrofit is executed with 24 steps of 15-degrees rotation. (offers 360°)

This lamp uses only 9 Watts to achieve this and can be used retrofit in EFK’s (with max. 2 lamps) executed with a magnetic ballast & starter*1 to replace a fluorescent 15 Watt UV lamp. The ASTRONUV LED 15R – Retrofit lamp can be used in a wide range of EFKs from different brands. Beside these conventional EFK’s the lamp can also be used in every LED EFK’s from Alcochem.
