Standaard retrofit UV-LED-lampen stralen licht uit in één specifieke richting en kunnen daardoor alleen worden gebruikt in units die zijn uitgevoerd met lamphouders die hiermee overeenkomen.
Lamphouders in insectenlichtvallen zijn verkrijgbaar met een verticale pinverbinding, een horizontale pinverbinding of een 45° pinverbinding.
